American Girl Knockoff Couch

This might not be a crafty thing per se, but I had to share my amazing find. This was a great example of karma at it's best. The kids and I cleaned out the toy room and delivered several bags full of toys to Goodwill. While there, I noticed this couch. I immediately knew it would be perfect for my daughter's American Girl doll. The price tag said $5 but I noticed a chip on one of the legs, so I asked if I could get a discount. They sold it to me for $2!!!

I don't love the fabric but LOVE the shape, so we might do some work to it. My husband is going to fix the chip in the wood. My daughter couldn't be happier and Rebeccah (her AG doll) loves it!

What have you found lately? I love a good deal!

I knew that fabric looked familiar. My daughter's AmDoll has a chair with the same fabric. I will not be changing it as it came from the MIL.

I could see this with a floral slipcover, big ruffly skirt at the bottom. I love sewing for that size doll.
