Washcloth Apron

One of my favorite things in the world is listening to my children play and use their imagination. As I mentioned in another post, they decided to open a pretend restaurant. Typically my daughter acts as the chef while my son is the waiter. They take turns doing the dishes and thus the reason for the washcloth aprons.

I simply took a washcloth and attached a ribbon to the top so that they could tie it around their waist. The size is perfect for them! I added an applique (matching the ribbon) and did some detailing around the edge.

This is a close-up of the applique which I had a blast making!

Here it is in action! They also have a play kitchen in the backyard, so I might need to make them a set of aprons to keep there. Although they just pretend to wash dishes, they love "drying" their hands on their apron when they are done. So cute!

What a cute idea! My kids always used to love to play restaurant and "make" dinner, etc. My oldest used to have a little apron and pretend he worked at McDonald's.

The bellybutton photo is darling - don't you wash your dishes sans clothing too? ;)

I just love the idea of these. My kids would really get a kick out of them. I should get off of my lazy rear and make these. It looks like they are a quick project.
