Sleepover Cake

This was such a fun cake to make! My husband's coworker asked me to make it for her niece who lost her mom to breast cancer. It was my pleasure to make it and the aunt told me all the girls at the party loved it.

She told me what each girl looked like and I guess they were very excited to see themselves on the cake.

This was my inspiration and the picture she emailed me: click here.

As you can see, I used marshmallows for the pillows. I decided to skip the bed skirt and instead make the "comforter" more ornate. My daughter, who is 5, is now dying for her first sleep over party. She already knows what cake she'll request! :)

Terrific! You did a fantastic job! I would have been over the moon about that cake when I was a girl. I'd be over the moon about it now. Maybe I need to have a sleepover with my friends.
