School starts next week, which means we have being going through the kid's clothes to make sure they are ready to start. Along with clothes, we also accounted for shoes and hair accessories. I decided to make some new hair items for the new outfits we purchased. This is the first set that I made, which is perfect because most days my daughter will wear her hair in a ponytail with a hair clip on the side.
These are very easy to make. For the clip, I basically used a glue gun to attach a fabric-covered button to the metal base of the clip.
Here is the hair clip in action.
The pony'o uses an identical covered button that I looped a hair band around the back.

How fun, this is one type of clippie/barrette I've yet to make for my daughter. They sound pretty easy to do, I'll add it to my to do list! Would love you to join me at A Crafty Soiree, every Thursday.
Very pretty, and kind of preppy, too! This is my first visit here.
I've been wanted to try fabric covered buttons & I love how these look on the hair accessories. Stopping by from Tatertots & Jello's party:)
Super cute! I absolutely love the fabric buttons and would love to make some for my little niece. Is there a tutorial website I can go to? Thanks!
Those are so simple and so cute. I love them!
