Ballerina Bag

My little ballerina recently starting taking tap along with ballet and needed a bag to carry her shoes.

We decided to raid my fabric pile and found this cute ballerina fabric that would be perfect for a bag. I also had the pink gingham for the lining and the pink ribbon/button in my stash. (Yes, my fabric stash is ridiculous at this point!)

I found this cute pattern and went with it.

This is the first bag I've ever made... and I'm SO proud!

I plan on making more, but I will change some things. I'll probably use something sturdier for the handle, add some fusible interfacing and maybe even some pockets.

This one is working out very well for my little ballerina though, so far no complaints!

That is one very cute little bag. I understand about the fabric stash. Mine would probably go down if I ever made anything from it. :-P

I saw a sign at a craft fair that said, "She Who Dies With the Most Fabric Wins!" There are a lot of in on that competition, I think. My husband is trying to get me to admit that I really only collect fabric, I don't sew.

The bag is adorable. Great job! Thanks for including the link for the pattern.
