Fabric-covered Buttons: Hair Accessories

School starts next week, which means we have being going through the kid's clothes to make sure they are ready to start. Along with clothes, we also accounted for shoes and hair accessories. I decided to make some new hair items for the new outfits we purchased. This is the first set that I made, which is perfect because most days my daughter will wear her hair in a ponytail with a hair clip on the side.

These are very easy to make. For the clip, I basically used a glue gun to attach a fabric-covered button to the metal base of the clip.

Here is the hair clip in action.

The pony'o uses an identical covered button that I looped a hair band around the back.

Here is the pony o in action. I got the kit to cover the buttons with fabric at the local craft store on sale for two bucks. I can't wait to find other ways to use these buttons, they are so cute!

How fun, this is one type of clippie/barrette I've yet to make for my daughter. They sound pretty easy to do, I'll add it to my to do list! Would love you to join me at A Crafty Soiree, every Thursday.
