Owl Pajamas

My addiction for making PJs for the kids is widely documented on this blog (here, here, here) and I am almost embarrassed to say it continues. My excuse is that my daughter is so tall and skinny that it's hard to get a good fit from store-bought ones. This last pair is for her birthday. She is currently obsessed with Owls.

I picked up a yard of flannel for $4 and a clearance tank top for $1, so she got a pair of PJs for $5. I loved making them and decided to make the fringe a bit longer so it would curl up more.

I love the look of the edges around the owls!

Now go up to the first picture again and see if you can spot the mistake? #craftfail no doubt, but by the time I figured it out it was too late to go back and fix it. I wonder what she will think!

Cute! My niece is obsessed with owls too. I am attempting to make her some matching pjs with her American Girl doll. This is my 1st sewing project, hence the "attempt"-but I conquered the doll pants! So, hopefully the bigger ones will go well too.
