A is for Apple Cookies

We made these cookies for my daughter's class, an obvious choice since their theme this week was Apples. Unfortunately it was a last minute decision, so we had to go with what we had in the pantry. We made sugar cookies which we then cut with a pumpkin cookie cutter and "frosted" with melted white & brown chocolate and sprinkled with some red sugar.

I love making cut out cookies with my kids because they are able to take part in the entire process. They love it all... the measuring, mixing, rolling, cutting, decorating and sampling!

The teacher was very excited to see the cookies this morning and my daughter said everyone in her class loved them. Yay!

What kid wouldn't love those?! We are doing "A is for apples" theme right now in Mommy School. Wish I would have thought about apple COOKIES! We have done apple muffins and applesauce!

Those are so cute! I love that the sprinkles are what's red, no having to die the frosting. Plus ER loves to shake shake onto cookies.

I've decided to feature your cookies for my Sweet Thursday cookie event this week. I actually wanted to feature you for the Friday Favorites this past week, but I had already just featured you! lol.
