iPhone Case
After tons of research we finally decided to get the iPhone 4. If you have followed the news at all, you will know that they are giving all customers a free case. What they don't tell you is that said case takes 3-5 to arrive, so I decided to make something to protect my new phone from little paws until the case gets here.
A couple of months ago I found this nursing cover for a $1. Even though I am pretty sure we are done having kids, I had to get it because I loved the fabric. It came in handy for this project because it had a pocket (sorry no picture!) that was lined in terry-cloth that I used to make the cover for the iPhone.
I basically cut the pocket off, sewed along all sides leaving a small gap to turn it around, and then folded it in half and sewed along the long side and one short side. The phone fits so snugly in the cover that I didn't need to add any type of closure. I had planned on using Velcro.
The terry cloth interior gives it the necessary padding and I love the playful fabric! I still have the rest of the nursing cover to play with. My daughter has requested I use it to make a blanket for her American Girl doll- we'll see. For now I am happy with my iPhone cover, especially since it cost way less that any others I have seen.
