Streamer Pony O's

As the weather warms up in South Florida, ponytails become part of daily life. I really like the look of boutique pony o's, but not the price.

So armed with some ribbon from the dollar section of my favorite store, I decided to give them a try. I made the streamers just like when I made the korker bows.

These ribbon packs are perfect because they contain 6 coordinating ribbons and in the perfect length so that you don't even have to cut them!

I love looking at these piles of curly ribbon... so many possibilities! And all for a $1 per set!
Anyway, back to the tutorial. Neatly pile up the coordinating ribbons and hold them in place using an alligator clip.

I had just gotten some cute buttons on sale the other day and decided to use them on the top rather than the typical knot made of ribbon. Some coordinating thread and you are all set to attach the ribbons to the pony tail holder.

I love how simple they are too make and how funky they look! And all for about $1.05!!!

I hope you give these a try... and if you do, please let me know!!!

Very cute! I always wondered how they got the ribbon to be so perfectly curly so I followed your links and OH! That's how? Never would have thunk it.

I have to girls so we will be trying this for sure!

These are very cute! I love the idea. When my daughter gets a little bigger and has the right amount of hair for a regular pony tail, we are making these!!

You brought back sweet memories I used to make these for my DD now almost 9. We loved the korkers! For a different look you can simply tie the korkers all around the pony elastic.

Thanks for this post!
